All my recent web development projects involve hand-coded custom HTML, graphic editing, and hosting/domain/email consultation. I work closely with site owners, visual designers, and hosting providers to build and enhance business value for site owners.

I'm a coder. I use Dreamweaver primarily as an IDE. I prefer to turn off visual editing in WordPress. Under the hood, not only is "What You See" not always "What You Get", but also "What You Get" need not be messy or quizzical to maintain.

I understand content management, social media, web application and cloud concepts, software engineering best practices, core networking technologies, mobile connectivity, and security. I have a lot of experience with multiple platforms, databases, scripting and compiled languages. To date I have not delved deeply into LAMP stacking (i.e., PHP and MySQL served by Apache on Linux), strict/transitional/HTML5, or CMS other than WordPress. I've played some with Joomla! and will be doing more of that soon.

I'm excited to try more powerful tools and methods. I trust that some newer things will be worth my effort.
